Bay Medical Chosen by Consumers as Highest Quality Provider in Research Study
October 28, 2010
Panama City, Florida -- Bay Medical has been recognized by National Research Corporation (NRC) as one of the nation’s top hospitals in the 2010/2011 Consumer Choice Awards. The award identifies hospitals which healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in over 300 markets throughout the U.S.
Ginny Martin, President of NRC’s Ticker Division, said winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Healthcare Market Ticker study. Of the 3,200 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in the Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs), as defined by the US Census Bureau. The study surveyed over 250,000 households representing over 450,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. Bay Medical was chosen as the image and quality leader by consumers in the Panama City – Lynn Haven, Florida CBSA for the past two years in a row. In prior years, our local CBSA was not reported in the awards.
NRC’s Ticker Survey is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind. No other study used to measure hospital performance and preferences contains more consumer responses than NRC’s study. The study has a margin of error of + or – 0.2 percent at a national level.
National Research Corporation (NASDAQ: NRCI) is an industry leader, with more than two decades of experience in healthcare performance measurement and improvement.
