Gooding Institute of Nurse Anesthesia


The Gooding Institute of Nurse Anesthesia has reinstated admissions and is now accepting applications for FALL 2014. The application deadline is March 1, 2014. The Gooding Institute has again been granted maximum accreditation for 10 years by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) and is also licensed by the Commission for Independent Education. 

The Gooding Institute is not regionally accredited.  Without graduating from a regionally accredited program, you may be limited in your choice of institutions but not excluded from Doctoral level education. You may be limited in a similar manner from academic positions. You will not be limited in your ability to become and practice as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA)

  • One instructor per student in the clinical practicum
  • No physician residents in anesthesia
  • Established in 1969 (oldest nurse anesthesia program in Florida)
  • ALL anesthesia techniques taught
  • Clinical practicum begins the first week for immediate application of didactics
  • All classes taught by anesthesia providers
  • Analysis, evaluation, and decision‐making in patient care is emphasized as opposed to memorization
