|Exercise may protect against prostate cancer|
Borrowers who practice responsible
Hey guys, if you needed another reason to get off the couch, try this: Exercise may ward off prostate cancer, according to a new study. Among 190 men who underwent a biopsy for suspected prostate cancer, those who regularly got moderate exercise—the equivalent of walking three to six hours a week—were two-thirds less likely than the inactive men to have their test come back positive for the disease. Reporting in the Journal of Urology, researchers also found that even mildly active men were less likely to have aggressive disease. Among those with cancer, 51 percent of sedentary men had aggressive cancer compared to 22 percent of those who got some exercise—one to three hours of walking a week.
