Many people who work at a computer for several hours each day suffer from eyestrain. But, ophthalmologists note, it’s not due to radiation or sitting too close to the monitor. Rather, focusing too hard on the computer screen is the culprit because staring makes us blink less and this, in turn, dries and irritates eyes. Steps to guard your eye health at work: Use eyedrops for lubrication, close and rest your eyes for a moment every two hours and, if you need glasses or bifocals, get them.
