For more than 30 years, Bay Medical Emergency Medical Service (EMS) has provided quality, expeditious care in medical emergencies. Bay Medical EMS is the sole provider of pre-hospital emergency medical care in Bay County, responding to more than 28,000 calls per year with an average response time of five minutes in Panama City and eight minutes for the entire county. Many counties in Florida that use tax dollars to subsidize this service spend anywhere from $2 to $9 million dollars, however Bay Medical provides this service to our community free of charge. Bay Medical has invested millions of dollars in state-of-the-art equipment and other capital expenditures for EMS.
