Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Bay Medical Center is home to the area’s only dedicated, 15-bed medical/surgical CVICU. Patients are cared for by specially trained critical care nurses to meet the patient’s specific cardiac needs. The unit is dedicated to cardiac surgery patients, thoracic surgery patients, vascular surgery, cardiac and special intervention patients and patients with acute cardiac episodes. Bay Medical’s critical care units are rated the best in Northwest Florida and the staff of the CVICU consistently score high marks for patient satisfaction and quality of care.
