Computer Navigated Neurosurgery

In 2007, Bay Medical invested nearly $1 million in state-of-the-art equipment with three-dimensional imaging capabilities to make brain and spine surgery more precise and less-invasive. Bay Medical has acquired the StealthStation® treatment guidance system and the O-ARM® Multidimensional Imaging System.

O-ARM Imaging System

The StealthStation® system offers revolutionary, next-generation three-dimensional imaging technology to guide Bay Medical surgeons through complicated operative procedures, including neurological, spinal, orthopedic and ear/nose/throat surgeries.

The O-ARM® Imaging System provides real-time, three-dimensional images, as well as multi-plane, two-dimensional and fluoroscopic imaging during a surgery. Using these images in conjunction with the StealthStation, Bay Medical's neurosurgeons can view the patient's anatomy, monitor the status of the surgery and verify the surgical changes prior to leaving the surgical suite. As a result, patients may have significantly shortened operating times, reduced surgical invasiveness, faster recoveries and improved outcomes.
