Disaster Assignments
- Please review the list that divides local physicians into two groups for assignments at Bay Medical Center and Gulf Coast Medical Center during emergencies and disasters. The list for Bay Medical Center is attached. If you are not on this list, you are assigned to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
- It is important that you review it now and note which hospital you should report to if necessary, especially in light of Hurricane Dennis.
- Please check in at our Command Center (747-6045), located in the BMC Community Board Room in the main lobby, when you are physically present in the hospital during the upcoming storm or call me on my cell phone (258-1384).
Discharge Patients
Please discharge as many patients as possible, as staffing levels will be decreased and patients must be moved from various areas of the hospital.
ER and group call schedules
If you should make any changes as the storm approaches, you should immediately notify our office (747-6723) so that timely updates can be communicated as appropriate throughout the hospitals.

Phone LinesIn the event the phone lines become unavailable and should your cell phone cease to work, we will provide in-house cell phones while you are on campus.
