Bay Medical’s Heart Institute Opens In New West Tower Building

Bay Medical’s Heart Institute has recently moved in to its new home on the fourth floor in the West Tower and is now able to offer cardiovascular services in one state of the art, convenient location. The new Heart Institute has three cardiac catheterization labs with the capability of expanding up to five, a new 15-bed intensive care unit designed especially for the needs of heart patients, as well as surgery preparatory and recovery areas and waiting rooms. In addition, the open-heart surgery suites are located just below on the surgical floor and the new patient care floor with 22 new private rooms and 21 semi-private rooms is located just above on the fifth floor. The new Heart Institute focuses on the comfort and convenience of the patient and family and offers cutting edge technology with room to grow with the needs of the community.
