Bay Medical Holds Grand Opening - New Wound Healing Center

Bay Medical is pleased to announce the opening of the new Wound Healing Center located on the first floor adjacent to the Hyperbaric Department. This comprehensive wound management program is under the direction of Dr. Aziz Ahmad and other specially trained panel physicians. The Wound Healing Center is the only program in the area that provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy as an adjunctive treatment for non-healing wounds. Bay Medical’s Wound Healing Center is able to treat:
- Diabetic Foot Ulcers
- Lower Leg Ulcers
- Pressure Ulcers
- Bone Infections (Osteomyelitis)
- Gangrene
- Skin Tears or Lacerations
- Radiation Burns
- Post-Operative Infected Wounds
- Slow or Non-Healing Wounds
- Wounds From Brown Recluse Spider Bites
- Failing or Compromised Skin/Muscle Grafts or Flaps
- Wounds That Have Not Healed In Four Weeks Or More
The new center will offer free screenings to determine if a wound can benefit from our comprehensive wound management program. Patients can self-refer into the program and their primary physicians will be kept informed of their progress. The number to call to schedule a free screening is 747-6591.
The media is invited to attend the grand opening of the new Center. To reach the Center, please enter the hospital campus via 7th street and park in the ORANGE parking area across from the Admissions & Registration Entrance (or use the free valet parking provided at this entrance). Enter the building at Admissions and Registration and follow the ORANGE hallway to the Wound Healing Center located on the left shortly after you pass Blimpies on the right.
