Bay Medical donates rescue vehicle to Wewa EMS

Wewahitchka, FL – Today in Wewa, a group from Bay Medical EMS donated a Rescue Truck to Wewa Emergency Medical Services. This truck will be used as a first response vehicle primarily to auto accidents. This type of rescue truck is equipped with tools and supplies to help EMS crews to safely extract crash victims from their vehicle or to stabilize a patient until a transport ambulance arrives. Bay Medical’s donated truck will be a significant upgrade over the current vehicle used as the first responder in the Wewa and northern Gulf County area. The Wewa EMS estimates that this new rescue truck will help on approximately 60 to 70 calls per month.
